Locations

Last but easily accessible, the wilderness of Europe offers diverse landscapes, arctic falls, rushing rivers, mountains, taiga forest, and more than 20,000 lakes that freeze over in winter. But it’s not always winter there... Lapland has four distinct cinematic seasons.

From December to early April, Lapland is absolutely a winter wonderland with guaranteed snow — up to 200 snow days a year, often snowing for days, subzero temperatures, and glorious Northern Lights, which are visible roughly 200 nights a year.

From May to August, Lapland goes green; it’s summer and the time of stunning light conditions and midnight sun that doesn’t set for nearly three months, with a golden hour that lasts all night.

Ruska is Lapland's colorful autumn season, a time of vibrant colors.
